Leaders across the data center industry are coming together to drive real, measurable change in electrical safety. Guided by a dedicated steering committee and inspired by the Global Electrical Safety Conferences, this initiative has one clear goal: saving lives through better electrical safety.
Global Head of Electrical Safety
& Partnerships
I have over 20 years of experience in technical and leadership roles, including 10 years as a Royal Navy electro-mechanical Marine Engineer. Since then, I’ve worked across Renewables, Manufacturing, and Utilities as a Senior Authorised Person, Authorising Engineer, and Engineering Manager, authorised up to 66kV and responsible for leading multiple Electrical Safety programmes.
Each month, our community comes together to collaboratively tackle the four key workstreams. These sessions are designed to be highly interactive, giving every participant the opportunity to share their knowledge, experiences, and insights, and to help shape practical actions that can be implemented across the industry. This is not a “we speak, you listen” call — it’s a true working session, where ideas are exchanged, challenges are discussed, and collective solutions are developed to continuously improve electrical safety practices.
Commissioning (Cx) Transition & Turnover
Ensuring smooth handovers from construction to operations with safe, efficient commissioning practices.
Unified Energy Control Plan (LOTO / ECP)
Aligning procedures and tools to safely control energy during maintenance and work on electrical systems.
Arc Flash & Electrical Hazard Management
Identifying, labeling, and managing electrical hazards to reduce the risk of injury.
Contractor & Competency Management
Setting clear expectations and validating skills to ensure all contractors work safely and effectively.

Speak Up & Share
These calls aren’t meant to be silent — participants are encouraged to raise their hand, unmute, and actively contribute. Whether sharing experiences, presenting a tool, or walking through a live example, everyone has the opportunity to bring their knowledge to the table and help the community learn and improve together.
Shared Content Library
All materials used, shared, or referenced during the calls — from checklists to toolkits and resources — are stored in a central library, giving every participant easy access anytime to support ongoing learning and safety improvements.
Watch Anytime
Monthly Electrical Safety Calls are recorded for your convenience, so if you can’t join live, you can access the full session anytime. Replay the session at your own pace, revisit key insights, and make sure you don’t miss a moment of practical tips and expert guidance.
